licensing information

Unless otherwise agreed on before booking, the standard license will be for use on your company's website, social media pages, event presentation bio photos, podcast guest bio photos, and marketing materials (direct mail, email promos, Press Releases, etc). For authors, the images may be used on the inside or back of a book jacket, but not as the cover (cover licensing is available separately).

Non-Press Release third party media use of any kind is not allowed (third parry licensing is available separately).  This means you can't give the image to anyone else to use in any way or in any type of media (magazines, newspapers, etc). The exception to the third party restriction is if you were the author of an article for the publication. Then the image can be used for a small author photo accompanying the article or the contributors page in the publication. What’s the difference between a press release and third party media use? Paid advertising use (print ads, billboards, etc) is allowed for small companies (less than 25 employees) and sole proprietors for ad spends less than $15,000 a year. Paid advertising for larger companies and ad budgets are available for an additional fee if needed.

For sessions booked by a company for an employee, the license is granted to the company and not the employee being photographed. The employee being photographed may use the image on a personal LinkedIn and/or Facebook profile only. Additional uses by the employee would need to be licensed separately by the company or employee. It is the company's representative’s responsibility to understand the licensing and ensure no employees disseminate the images improperly. Any non-permitted uses will incur a licensing fee.

Licensing is not transferable.
