Client Stories: Bay Area Marketing Executive Emily Jordan

S72 Client Emily Jordan Professional Headshot Shot in the S72 Headshot Studio In San Francisco.

Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about what you do?

Everyone calls me Em. I’m a marketing executive for startups and scale ups. Before that, I worked in brand and product for Nike.

What motivated you to get a new headshot?  How old was your previous headshot?

I got my headshot when I was applying for my first executive and creative position. My previous headshot was almost 8 years old and so overly corporate.

How did you feel about your old headshot, and what were you looking for in your new one?

I was looking for something that best captured my executive presence and creativity. My old headshot was sooo corporate. I was in a suit! I haven’t worn a suit in 15 years!

In what ways do you think your new headshot has impacted your business, visibility or job search?

It is unbelievable how many people have commented on my headshot. It has helped incredibly with personal branding and positioning.

Have you received any feedback on your new headshot?

No notes!

How important do you think a professional headshot is for someone in your field?

Essential. LinkedIn Profiles have become the first beachhead of your professional brand.

What advice would you give to someone considering getting a new headshot?

Relax! Have fun! This is a reflection of you so be yourself!

Were you nervous or uncomfortable with the idea of having your photos taken and if so how was the experience in the end?

Nervous, for sure! I’m not a model ha! But the result was so incredible that I saw the value.

How did you prepare for your headshot session, and do you have any tips for others on how to get ready for theirs?

I thought through the right outfit that felt like me and also would shoot well (no prints!). I tried to look my best (hair and make up!) and then just relax and feel pampered.

Is there anything else you’d like to share about your experience or the impact of your new headshot?

This crew are pros. You’re in good hands.

How was your experience working with S72 for your headshot session?

So calm and special.
