Client Stories: Tax Attorney Jason Galek

Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about what you do? 

My name is Jason Galek, I am a board-certified attorney specialist in taxation law, assisting both individuals and businesses with federal and California tax planning and tax controversy and litigation. I have offices in both San Francisco and Folsom, but serve clients throughout California, the broader U.S., and internationally.

What motivated you to get a new headshot?  How old was your previous headshot?

My last headshot was from three years ago, taken by the office amateur photographer, and did not look like me.

How did you feel about your old headshot, and what were you looking for in your new one? 

I've lost a substantial amount of weight since my last headshot and am trying to live a more healthy lifestyle. My old headshots were in need of updating; I wanted my new headshots to capture the new direction in my life.

In what ways do you think your new headshot has impacted your business, visibility or job search? 

My new headshots are professional and real. I appreciate the actual skill of a professional photographer in contrast to many who are using AI portraits which invariably look artificial.

Have you received any feedback on your new headshot?

Not yet, it is brand new.

How important do you think a professional headshot is for someone in your field? 

Professional headshots are essential, especially with the public becoming more comfortable with hiring professionals without meeting in person.

What advice would you give to someone considering getting a new headshot? 

Professionals should not use AI to generate headshots. There is no substitute for a professional headshot taken by a highly skilled and experienced photographer.

Were you nervous or uncomfortable with the idea of having your photos taken and if so how was the experience in the end? 

I wasn't nervous but I generally don't like my picture taken. S72 made it painless.

How did you prepare for your headshot session, and do you have any tips for others on how to get ready for theirs?

I wore my favorite suit and had a pleasant lunch with colleagues before the shoot.

Is there anything else you’d like to share about your experience or the impact of your new headshot?

S72 provided clear instructions at every step before, during, and after the shoot. I very much appreciate the efficiency and professionalism.
