Client Stories: Space advisory firm founder Sarah Pousho
Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about what you do?
My name is Sarah Pousho. After spending over 30 years doing sales and licensing for kids consumer products, I recently launched Space Bridge Partners, a boutique advisory firm that connects funding to space missions. We are not a VC, we raise philanthropic donations from high net worth individuals, sponsorship revenue through brand partnerships, and licensing revenue from media partners.
What motivated you to get a new headshot?
I had actually never had to get one before and knew since I would be presenting as co-founder and CEO that I needed one!
How did you feel about your old headshot, and what were you looking for in your new one?
I've never had a headshot before coming to you, the one you did was my first one. I looked at a ton of sites and the photographer’s work before choosing you. I liked your online portfolio, the people seemed the most natural and "sharp" if that makes sense. I really like the way it turned out. I'd like a new one that shows more "authority" and confidence, and maybe one that looks like I'm speaking in front of an audience.
In what ways do you think your new headshot has impacted your business, visibility or job search?
It's 100% made me look "legit" and I feel good when people who ask me onto their podcasts, etc. ask for a headshot -- I'm proud to share it.
Have you received any feedback on your new headshot?
Some of my friends and family have chosen their favorite and they say I look good.
How important do you think a professional headshot is for someone in your field?
Very -- especially with the speaking engagements I will have, it will be shown when the conferences share who will be on the panels, etc.
What advice would you give to someone considering getting a new headshot?
Take your time at the session, ask questions and tell the photog what you want the end result to look like.
Were you nervous or uncomfortable with the idea of having your photos taken and if so how was the experience in the end?
100% nervous as heck. I liked your vibe and obviously you got some great shots, but i felt the session was way too short and I wish I had taken a breath and discussed more with you -- or more that you had asked me more questions, knowing that it was my first time getting a headshot done.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your experience or the impact of your new headshot?
nope, the above speaks for itself.
How was your experience working with S72 for your headshot session?
I answered that in the second to last bullet point. Oh, except next time I would ask for a different background color. But I didn't know what I didn't know. I'm very happy with my end results and would definitely use you again. But the second time I will know more about what to ask for.
