Client Stories: Dentist Alex Chaney
Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about what you do?
My name is Alex Chaney and I'm a dentist in Vallejo, CA
What motivated you to get a new headshot? How old was your previous headshot?
I put lots of time into courses, clinical techniques, communication skills, my office, and none of it really matters if people don't walk in the door in the first place. I realized I needed a really high quality photo of myself that represents what I want people to see, and gives people an idea of who I am before they ever meet me.
How did you feel about your old headshot, and what were you looking for in your new one?
Of course I have lots of great reviews, but people also want to see what I look like. I've seen a lot of headshots that look like they were taken outside, the lighting is over or under exposed, or it was a shot made in passing, and it never really feels like it's a good representation of that person. I want that first look of myself to project the kind of attention to detail and quality that I practice with.
How did you prepare for your headshot session, and do you have any tips for others on how to get ready for theirs?
I had booked it a couple months before, which turned out to be great. I had time to make sure my haircut was dialed in, plan my outfit, and set aside the time to get ready before my session.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your experience or the impact of your new headshot?
I've gotten two headshots now with Jeff, 5 years apart. Before the first headshot, the picture I was using was one taken pretty quickly. I've now gotten my second headshot because I've updated my style a bit and want to make sure things are up to date.
How was your experience working with S72 for your headshot session?
The experience of the headshot session itself was easy. I showed up and Jeff was nice, straightforward, and professional, and we were done in a few minutesI would highly recommend a professional headshot, and I believe it pays off in more ways than you will ever be fully aware of.
