Client Stories: Bay Area Real Estate Executive Billie Hazley

S72 Client Gabriella Shahi Professional Headshot Shot in the S72 Headshot Studio In San Francisco.

Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about what you do?

I am an East-Coast transplant but I've lived in The Bay Area since 2014 and can't imagine being anywhere else. I've worked in real estate for nearly 20 years (property and asset management), and have gotten to know many parts of the region. I love how diverse it is and how each area offers different climates and so many things to do. My husband and two dogs take full advantage of all of the access to nature here.

What motivated you to get a new headshot?  How old was your previous headshot?

I recently moved to a new company as their COO and realized that my 10-year-old headshot needed a refresh.

How did you feel about your old headshot, and what were you looking for in your new one?

My prior headshot was boilerplate boring and didn't express anything about my personality. This new role has reenergized me and I wanted a new headshot that correlated to how I was feeling in taking on this new adventure!

In what ways do you think your new headshot has impacted your business, visibility or job search?

It was part of a couple of announcements that my new company put out and I think as far as visibility goes - it aligned with where I am today in my career (confident, happy, ready).

Have you received any feedback on your new headshot?

I have! Mostly from people within my inner circle; people have said it's really great.

How important do you think a professional headshot is for someone in your field?

It is very important. At the end of the day, real estate is about relationships. This new headshot, to me, speaks to my approachability - which is important.

What advice would you give to someone considering getting a new headshot?

Relax. If the photographer is good at their job, they will bring out your best. This means you can trust the process and not worry so much about the outcome.

Were you nervous or uncomfortable with the idea of having your photos taken and if so how was the experience in the end?

I was at first but felt completely at ease after just a few minutes. The environment was not intimidating and Jeff's approach to the shoot was calm and reassuring.

How did you prepare for your headshot session, and do you have any tips for others on how to get ready for theirs?

Jeff's introduction email after the appointment was set was very helpful. Reminding me to look nice but not overdone, and to wear things that I'd normally wear, etc. I think it's human nature to overdue it in photos, but that was not necessary.

Is there anything else you’d like to share about your experience or the impact of your new headshot?

The experience was great; I will definitely be back for future needs. There was no stress and the process for edits and receiving proofs was very easy and fast.

How was your experience working with S72 for your headshot session?

Mentioned a few times already but it was fantastic! Thanks for being so chill and allowing for me to relax right away.
