Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about what you do? 

Madrid-born, Bay Area-based Realtor Jose Carballedo with a strong foundation in entrepreneurship and marketing. After years leading a successful international tourism company, I transitioned into real estate in 2020 with a focus on people-first service and lasting relationships.

What motivated you to get a new headshot?  How old was your previous headshot?

Image is important. Time and time again, clients, friends, co-workers have told me "you look like a criminal in your photos", "you never smile". it was time to try a profesional.

How did you feel about your old headshot, and what were you looking for in your new one? 

I was looking for a photo that captures who I'm and give the feeling of a warm, reliable man. A simple message: trust.

In what ways do you think your new headshot has impacted your business, visibility or job search?

Before I was reluctant to use my photo after comments from close friends. I hope it helps me looks more approachable. I feel more confident.

How important do you think a professional headshot is for someone in your field? 

In a business that is live changing for clients, every detail counts and presenting yourself properly helps to open doors and gain the trust.

What advice would you give to someone considering getting a new headshot? 

Be different, show who you are.

Were you nervous or uncomfortable with the idea of having your photos taken and if so how was the experience in the end? 

Absolutely yes it was like the school photo day but no class mates. It turn out to be the opposite almost natural.

How did you prepare for your headshot session, and do you have any tips for others on how to get ready for theirs?

I did follow the instructions provided before the appointment and took with me two sets of shirts and blazers.
