Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about what you do? 

I'm an Applied Scientist, coach, and content creator. I build production AI and machine learning systems, and teach others a mix of technical content and mindset for success in challenging fields.

What motivated you to get a new headshot?  How old was your previous headshot?

I have never had a professional headshot before. As my content and coaching work grows, it's important for me to update my brand presence as well.

How did you feel about your old headshot prior to coming to me, and what were you looking for in your new one?

Previously I was using a selfie, which was approachable but not as professional as I'd like. I wanted my new headshot to remain approachable and show my personal style, but just a more elevated version.

In what ways do you think your new headshot has impacted your business, visibility or job search?

I will be using the headshots to create my new website, which will be a central place for my content and coaching work. I'm also in the process of writing a book, so I'm hopeful that a more professional presence will be appealing to publishers.

Have you received any feedback on your new headshot?

My husband said they were the best professional headshots he's seen.

How important do you think a professional headshot is for someone in your field? 

Very, especially since I'm a content creator in a visual field (YouTube). I think this is an important way to stand out in a crowded field.

What advice would you give to someone considering getting a new headshot? 

Don't be nervous!

Were you nervous or uncomfortable with the idea of having your photos taken and if so how was the experience in the end? 

Nope. I did a lot of extra work and modeling as a teenager, so I'm pretty comfortable with the whole experience.

How did you prepare for your headshot session, and do you have any tips for others on how to get ready for theirs?

Natural makeup, simple outfits that are easy to change into + showcase your style. Don't overthink it!

How was your experience working with S72 for your headshot session?

I had a great experience working with S72. The session was timely, quick, and I had good direction on what to expect throughout.
