Client Stories: Founder VIP Wellness Allison Magyar
Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about what you do?
I'm Allison Magyar, and I am passionate about helping others. With 14 years of experience as a nurse in intensive care units across the country, I will be transitioning to the practitioner role at the end of 2024. Armed with a Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Georgetown University, I aspire to provide primary care and wellness to the community.
Medicine doesn't need to be scary. My background in complementary health has equipped me with tools to blend Eastern and Western medicine. I aim to create welcoming environments for EVERYONE and empower others to take an active role in their own healthcare, fostering collaborative decision-making.
As an entrepreneur, I founded VIP Wellness, Nursing Corp. Our mission is to bring medicine directly to the community, treating everyone as a VIP.
What motivated you to get a new headshot? How old was your previous headshot?
Believe it or not, I have never done professional headshots before. Entering a new chapter of my life and eager to put my side forward, I knew Studio 72 was the only choice.
How did you feel about your old headshot, and what were you looking for in your new one?
I was instantly captivated by Jeff's work. His photos possess a depth that reveals more than just a face. I was thrilled to collaborate with someone who can capture personality in a single photograph, which is especially important to me as I transition into a new chapter of my career.
In what ways do you think your new headshot has impacted your business, visibility or job search?
My professional headshot has been instrumental in my graduate school and job applications, is featured on the VIP Wellness website, and will continue to support me in my future business endeavors.
Have you received any feedback on your new headshot?
I have received so many unsolicited positive remarks regarding my professional headshot. It is always such a pleasant reminder of money well spent.
How important do you think a professional headshot is for someone in your field?
A polished professional headshot is gold. It often serves as the first visual impression and can enhance credibility, convey professionalism, and create a positive and lasting first impression. It shows that you take your work seriously and have invested in your personal brand.
What advice would you give to someone considering getting a new headshot?
Invest in yourself and your future! In addition to all the advise S27 will give you about simple, classy dress and grooming, make sure to have fun with it so your personality shines through the photos. Discuss your goals ahead of time, and update your headshot every few years!
Were you nervous or uncomfortable with the idea of having your photos taken and if so how was the experience in the end?
I am an awkward turtle when it comes to photos, so naturally I was nervous. In the end the experience was a breeze and it was easier than expected to choose two final photos.
How did you prepare for your headshot session, and do you have any tips for others on how to get ready for theirs?
This is your future, so take charge...allow yourself extra time, take a car to avoid parking stress, and have your hair professionally styled.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your experience or the impact of your new headshot?
I'm thrilled with the impact of my new headshot. It captures a professional yet approachable image, which is essential as I transition into my new role as a Family Nurse Practitioner. The headshot conveys warmth and trust, reflecting my commitment to creating welcoming environments for my patients. It has already enhanced my personal brand, helping me connect more effectively with colleagues, patients, and the community. Additionally, it has been a valuable asset for my entrepreneurial endeavors with VIP Wellness, projecting the professionalism and care that our company embodies.
How was your experience working with S72 for your headshot session?
Jeff is professional and highly efficient. Despite our brief session, I appreciated the numerous photos he took, giving me plenty to choose from.
