Client Stories: San Francisco Esthetician Celia Anaya
Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about what you do and your industry?
I'm Celia Anaya, a licensed esthetician specializing in waxing, particularly eyebrow design and body waxing. However, my true passion lies in brow design, where I use individuals' unique facial features to create the perfect brow that complements their face.
What motivated you to get a new headshot? How old was your previous headshot?
I had always taken my own pictures in my studio and when I finally got my website redone, I knew it needed a more professional headshot to fit the aesthetic.
How did you feel about your old headshot prior to coming to me, and what were you looking for in your new one?
My last picture was taken outdoors and it just didn't have the more serious and professional feel that S72 headshots have.
In what ways do you think your new headshot has impacted your business, visibility or job search?
In my industry, professional headshots aren't as common, but I knew they would enhance my professional image and make my website and expertise appear more legitimate.
Have you received any feedback or comments on your new headshot?
Yes I've already received many compliments on my new headshot.
How important do you think a professional headshot is for someone in your field?
Since they're not as common in my field, I believe it's crucial to make the provider and the business appear more professional.
What advice would you give to someone considering getting a professional headshot?
Do it, you won't regret it.
Were you nervous or uncomfortable with the idea of having your photos taken and if so how was the experience in the end?
I was a little nervous because it was my first time but Jeff's direction and energy made it very easy and laid back.
How did you prepare for your headshot session, and do you have any tips for others on how to get ready for theirs?
Practice smiling and non smile looks in the mirror, including your whole body, arms and hands. Take a few outfits and make sure everything looks good in the mirror, like brush your hair after changing your shirt, before stepping back in front of the camera. Get your hair and makeup professionally done if you're not good doing it yourself.
Is there anything else you'd like to share about your experience or the impact of your new headshot?
I wish I would've done it sooner! It has elevated the look of my website so much.
How was your experience working with S72 for your headshot session?
It was easy and laid back, the experience was great!
