Client Stories: Medical Entrepreneur Coach Johannon Olson
Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about what you do?
I'm Johannon Olson and I coach Nurses, Doctors and Scientists who are medical business owners/entrepreneurs. We focus on achieving their goals their way, often by helping them work in their Zone of Genius, effective delegation and empowerment of their team and living the life they have earned. This leads to revenue growth and reduction of costs, while improving their satisfaction with their lifestyle and avoiding burnout.
What motivated you to get a new headshot? How old was your previous headshot?
My previous headshot was from my days at Stanford Healthcare, where I led the Operating Room and procedural teams. In that headshot, which I still love (even thought it was almost ten years old), I was wearing scrubs and no beard. Now, I dress like a civilian and am rocking a beard.
How did you feel about your old headshot, and what were you looking for in your new one?
I liked it but it represented a different phase of life and leadership for me. Now I serve leaders and business owners in a different role and I appreciate that my new headshot reflects my current "look" and work.
In what ways do you think your new headshot has impacted your business, visibility or job search?
Clients, both new and established have commented that it looks more like me and that "I look just like the photo on your website" on Zoom or when we meet, which is the opposite of what they said before. They always said I look different than my photo.
Have you received any feedback on your new headshot?
Yes, generally positive (as above)
How important do you think a professional headshot is for someone in your field?
Critical - my clients and I work together intimately on critical (literally life and death) decisions related to their practices and businesses, so clarity on professionalism from the first moment is very important.
What advice would you give to someone considering getting a new headshot?
Advice for myself, too: loosen up, smile, relax and have fun. You're working with the best of the best, so trust the process and you'll love the results!
Were you nervous or uncomfortable with the idea of having your photos taken and if so how was the experience in the end?
Yes, it's an investment of time and money and the results are important. My experience was excellent and I've brought partners for their headshots and recommended Jeff to several friends, too.
How did you prepare for your headshot session, and do you have any tips for others on how to get ready for theirs?
Read the emails all the way through, twice. It's all there and actually reading them and understanding the information shared will go a long ways to feeling prepared and ready to go.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your experience or the impact of your new headshot?
If you're on the fence, check out the photos on this site. Most of these people are no better looking, better dressed or more prepared than you. They trusted Jeff and you can see the great results for yourself!
How was your experience working with S72 for your headshot session?
Experienced, trustworthy, prepared, efficient workflow and process, clear communication and great photos!
