Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about what you do?

I'm Norm Del Rosario the author of FLIP, a memoir about my experience as a law enforcement officer in the Bay Area, growing up during a wave of violence during the 1980's and 1990's and, sprinkled throughout, supernatural experiences guiding me through my journey.

What motivated you to get a new headshot?  How old was your previous headshot?

I needed an author photo for my upcoming novel. This is my first headshot ever.

How did you feel about your old headshot, and what were you looking for in your new one?

I wanted to hit a home run with my first headshot. It had to capture the energy and essence of what I convey in my writing.

In what ways do you think your new headshot has impacted your business, visibility or job search?

I gained new subscribers and followers a day after uploading my S72 headshot to my writing platform profile. I received new comments and likes on old posts by just putting my face to my voice.

Have you received any feedback on your new headshot?

"I love your smile!" and "Professional" are two consistent comments.

How important do you think a professional headshot is for someone in your field?

It is critical to show an energetic representation of who I am as an author. A reader will glance and get an impression and a feel then decide whether or not to commit to reading.

What advice would you give to someone considering getting a new headshot?

Book S72 today. You want your first impression to be crafted by a photographer with the highest technical skill, a discerning eye and who has experience with hundreds, if not thousands, of clients. Invest in the highest quality first impression.

Were you nervous or uncomfortable with the idea of having your photos taken and if so how was the experience in the end?

I procrastinated and avoided this step until the last minute prior to publishing. I'm the guy behind the laptop, behind the words. Not in front of it. In the end, Jeff was prepared, had the set ups and made each transition smooth. I actually had fun!

How did you prepare for your headshot session, and do you have any tips for others on how to get ready for theirs?

I picked an outfit weeks in advance, made sure I got a full night's sleep and spent time relaxing with friends and family the day before. I believe your "state" will carry into your session.

How was your experience working with S72 for your headshot session?

I feel I stepped into your lab that you have complete control over. You took one glance at me and knew what would work even before we started. And after collaborating with you on the look and key selections you were right!
