Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about what you do? 

I'm Tara Pratt and I've been a psychotherapist for 12 years. 

What motivated you to get a new headshot?  How old was your previous headshot?

My work is so face to face. My old headshot was shot almost 10 years ago.

How did you feel about your old headshot, and what were you looking for in your new one? 

Now I'm in a new chapter in life and career, and it's important for my photo to reflect that.

In what ways do you think your new headshot has impacted your business, visibility or job search? 

My new headshot makes my website and profiles stand out and look more professional.

Have you received any feedback on your new headshot?

The friends I chose to help narrow down my selection had a hard time because there were so many to choose from.  They all were really impressed with how good they came out.

How important do you think a professional headshot is for someone in your field? 

I really rely on my face to evoke emotion and build connections with clients. When a client is searching for a therapist my photo is often the first thing they notice and it's important to convey a sense of emotional warmth right away.

What advice would you give to someone considering getting a new headshot? 

Think about what mood you want to evoke and make sure it's genuine to who you are.

Were you nervous or uncomfortable with the idea of having your photos taken and if so how was the experience in the end? 

Being in front of a camera is uncomfortable for most people and Jeff made me feel super relaxed.  It was even fun.

How did you prepare for your headshot session, and do you have any tips for others on how to get ready for theirs?

Wear an outfit that represents yourself, smart looking without being too formal.

Is there anything else you’d like to share about your experience or the impact of your new headshot?

The whole process was very easy and I'm really loving my new pictures.
